Patrick has been on a Lego Robotics team this Fall, preparing for the First Lego League state tournament, which was yesterday. The teams had to make a research presentation on an aspect of nanotechnology and then run missions with the robot. Their presentation was on using sheer thickening fluid in military uniforms to keep soldiers cool and/or warm, depending on the climate, and also to protect them by absorbing the impact of a bullet or shrapnel.

They did a great job and the team won an award for programming. They competed against 40 other teams, so this is a great award. They also came in 7th on the mission aspect of the tournament.

Congrats Robomasters!
